The Epistle to the Messianic Hebrews chapter 10 contains one of the most terrifying realities that everyone must understand!
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:12
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 10:17
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Hebrews 10:18
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. Hebrews 10:26
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:27
He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses. Hebrews 10:28
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:29
Before Yeshua’s sacrifice around 2000 years ago the Israelites sacrificed livestock such as lambs for payment of sin. The blood of lambs could never pay for our sins but served as a rehearsal of good things to come.
After the blood of the lamb has been poured out on the altar, you do not tread on the blood of that innocent lamb. What is meant by treading is if that lambs blood was sacrificed for a sin, you do not do that sin again.
How will Yeshua judge someone who has trodden on his own blood?
We also see in this chapter that sinning willfully is contrary to the spirit of Grace.
Yeshua taught to keep the Torah, but it is not through your own effort that you are saved lest any man should boast. Yeshua has paid for your sins so you can be reconciled with God. He has cleansed you so that the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) may dwell within you. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God? This Spirit will lead you to fulfill all righteousness.
HalleluYah!
